Who am I?
I like to think that we are just a normal family. My wife Sharon and I have been married since 1982
and have three great kids. We live in northwest Indiana in St. John Township, and I work in Chicago, Il.
We moved from Illinois to northwest Indiana in 1996, and we moved into our current house in June of 2002.
Our previous house can be seen by clicking here. Our current house can be seen here.
A long long time ago..... I worked as a computer operator until I landed a "dream job" as a punch press
Die Setter. This is the guy who sets the die into the press and adjusts it so it's ready for an operator
to run it in "production mode".
In 1985 an accident made me think that it wasn't such a "dream job".
After quitting that job on the grounds of dangerousness, I attended a trade school which will remain nameless,
and received a certificate in computer programming. Whoopie.
I spent a few years as a programmer, and then moved into the system's area.
I've worked for The Northern Trust Company in Chicago since 1993; first as a Systems Programmer, and now as the manager of the team responsible for installing and maintaining OS/390, z/OS, z/VM and now, LINUX for zSeries!
I also work part time designing database solutions for small businesses using Microsoft Access XP.
